In November 2024 my eldest daughter lost her first tooth. I stayed up making her a letter, because the ones you can buy are not very nice and she deserved better than a note on the back of an envelope. She still has it. That letter is the one you have just printed, word for word, and it is free because every child should get one.
How to make it properly magical
  1. Print it after they are asleep. Warm paper in the morning gives the game away.
  2. Fold it small. Fairies are small, so fairy post should be too.
  3. Roll the coin or the note and tie it with a ribbon. Ten seconds, and it turns money into treasure.
  4. Leave a trail of glitter. A little on the pillow, a little on their slippers, and a little on the window where she left.
  5. Do not explain any of it in the morning. Let them find it and tell you.

Where this came from

In November 2024 my eldest daughter lost her first tooth. It felt like a bigger moment than I had anything ready for, so I stayed up and made her a letter, because I wanted her to have something she would keep.

She kept it. It is still in her drawer. That letter is the one on this page, word for word, and it is free because every child should get one.

I am Charlie. I make things for children, from a kitchen table in Perth.
